Pride
Matt Cline stayed with us in the Summer of 2006 while playing for the Denton Outlaws. In June 2007, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, and played the summer of 2007 in Rookie League. This winter, he reported for his first real Spring Training with the Brewers system, which has all been very exciting for us.
Until this week, when we found out that Monday and Tuesday he played in games with the big leaguers. Yep, second season with the Brewers organization, first full spring training, and he's already appearing in games with the big club, albeit as a late-inning replacement. Still, he's gone 2 for 4 with a walk in those two games, and played one game at second and the other at short.
Exciting? Hardly. There aren't words to describe just how cool this is for us. We're very, very proud parents this week!
