Sighting
Good buddy Billy sent me this link in e-mail yesterday because it contains a reference to Green Chili Burp and the Aftertaste. He also asked about the reference to Screaming Asparagus mentioned in the page (you can see both references in the fourth paragraph of the text).
I have no idea who the author of this piece is. I don't recognize the name, and given that the publication is in Virginia, well, you decide. But I'm going to guess that this person has more than just a passing knowledge of Green Chili. Here's why:
Mark Murray, the producer I worked with to get the Green Chili CD done, was originally in a band from Lubbock called Asparagus Nightmares. Screaming Asparagus == Asparagus Nightmares?
Actually, a quick Google turned up this page, which lists both Green Chili Burp and the Aftertastes (which was mis-spelled this way by the author of the article) and Screaming Asparagus. So, much as I would like to think that Green Chili music had somehow touched the life of this particular author, I think he just went on an quick Google search of unusual band names to use in his work and by the absolutely strangest coincidence, he happened to pick two random band names that had much more in common than he could have realized.
Anyway, it made for a really weird "ooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooooooh" moment last night...
