Spring

Wow. It really is spring in Texas.

Not only is the Bermuda beginning to come back, not only are the Bradford Pear trees blooming, not only do we have pink flowers on our almond trees, not only are the volunteer tomato plants breaking through, no only are our bluebonnets in full bloom, but there are birds everywhere.

I came down the stairs this morning to check on something in the bedroom, and as I passed by the windows in the back of the house, I scared up several dozen robins that had been grazing in the back lawn. Wow! I've never seen that many robins in our yard before. In fact, I think this is the first year in the house that I've seen robins at all. Much less 20-30 of them all happily chowing down on the goodies we're growing for them in the lawn.

Hopefully that's a lot of bugs they're helping eliminate for us.
