Lessons Learned stemmed from exactly that notion - things that I discovered while researching or troubleshooting issues for myself, for clients, or for the community. If I wasn’t able to find a solution to an issue quickly, but knew there was a chance I might run across it again, or someone else might run into the same issue, I decided to blog these items in a searchable arena for easy rediscovery. Any time I run across a “how to” process, I try to get it in here.

My intention for this blog is to track the technical or how-to type information that IT Pros may run across while troubleshooting or researching. Thoughts on the state of the IT industry, ideas about ways to run an IT operation, etc., are included in my business blog, OnQ. Some articles from this site may also be reposted with screen shots and better formatting over on the smallbizserver.net site. This site may also contain updates or errata for any of the book projects I’ve worked on.

Enjoy the site, and I hope you find it useful!
