A project of this size is not something that happens overnight. Once the songs have been written and rehearsed, the work is just beginning, especially if you want those songs to be heard by people outside of the band. Working in the recording studio is an experience like no other, and even the best preparation can't necessarily make recording sessions run smoothly. Such was the experience of Green Chili.
"Sacrificing Toasters to Alien Poets" was recorded at Don Caldwell Studios in Lubbock, Texas, in two sessions. The first session in May of 1992 lasted three days. The second session in August 1992 lasted two days. The links below document, as best as I can remember, the highlights of the days of the sessions as well as those immediately surrounding them.
